Hot Topics: A Workshop on Trans & Queer Publishing

This workshop introduces key aspects of publishing in trans and queer studies, with particular attention to what happens to scholarly work after it is submitted. Professor Jeannine Tang will share insights from the perspectives of journal editors, referees, and peer reviewers, including examples of the kinds of questions and criteria that shape reader evaluations and reports. Participants will also discuss sample abstracts together and consider strategies for developing strong abstracts and navigating the journal submission and review process.
