This is the final event of the Critical and Visual Studies Colloquium, Spring 2010 at Pratt Institute of Art and Design. This years’ colloquium class is entitled, “The Nocturnal City: The Alternative, Underground, and Counter Public,” taught by Professor Uzma Z. Rizvi, included talks by academics/artists/activists. Co-sponsors for this panel include the Initiative of Art, Community and Social Change (IACSC) as a part of the series, “Constructing Spaces: The Politics of Art and Community”; as well as our community partner, the South Asian Women’s Creative Collective (SAWCC) as a part of the speaker series, “What’s Left of SAWCC.”
