The legalization of same-sex marriage in Mexico City paved the way for Transgresiones y Diversiones, a selection of shorts produced by students in the first undergraduate Queer Cinema class ever offered in Mexico.
In times of social upheaval, Greg Berger’s ongoing Revolutionary Tourist Project brings improvised comedy to the streets—Spring Breakers Sin Miedo and Jodido México 2010 are two of the latest shorts in this irreverent series.
Balancing the evening is The Right to Choose in Peace, a documentary short about the decriminalization of abortion in Mexico City and U.S. pro-life groups’ influence in Mexico.
[All films are in Spanish with English Subtitles].
